I didn't know where that exercise would lead me or that it would completely change my life forever. I poured everything I had into those drawings without a contract, a guarantee, or a company that wanted to produce what I came up with. That first collection was something of a prayer, a meditation, a hope for a future, I didn't have the experience to conceive of yet. That collection was called Full moon Forest, and it was the first step on a path that has consumed my every waking moment since. When I realized that I was again sitting down to design a fabric collection but now for the 50th time, I felt appreciation wash over me. With this new collection, I want to honor where I began and what I have gained along the way. So much has changed since that first collection and in some ways so much is still the same. Full Moon forest II is the culmination of the things I have learned along the way and the ways I have evolved, improved, and achieved clarity over the years of doing a job that I love so much. In this new collection, I have revisited each of the original prints and reimagined them with all of the things I have learned. This is a thank you letter for the last 18 years, to the manufacturers, retailers, and quilters that have supported me along the way. Full Moon Forest II is a great bookend to my first 50 collections and an awesome springboard for the next 50.
